ethnic Javanese


Indonesia is the world's largest archipelagic state and country with the longest coastline. With a total 17 000 islands scattered over the entire archipelago. With many of the island is also diverse ethnicities and cultures that grow and thrive in it.
Among these are Javanese (Java ngoko: wong Jowo, manners: tiyang Jawi). Java tribe is the largest ethnic groups in Indonesia who came from Central Java, East Java, and Yogyakarta. At least 41.7% of Indonesia's population is ethnically Javanese. In addition to the three provinces, many Javanese live in Lampung, Banten, Jakarta and North Sumatra. In West Java, they are found in the district of Indramayu and Cirebon. The Javanese also have sub-tribes, such as Osing and Tengger
