At least 41.7% of Indonesia's population is ethnically Javanese. In addition to the three provinces, many Javanese live in Lampung, Banten, Jakarta and North Sumatra. In West Java, they are found in the district of Indramayu and Cirebon. The Javanese also have sub-tribes, such as Osing and Tengger

Nderes

Nderes is a work to take sap from palm trees to make brown sugar. Nderes usually done 2x a day, every morning and evening. Nderes is a job risk and required exellent physical condition to do so, a nderes workers risked their lives by climbing a coconut tree which can reach 20 meters without the aid of safety.

Banyumas Mendoan Tempe Recipe

 Composition :

10 pieces of tempe

1 teaspoon garlic
1 teaspoon coriander
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon red onion
½ teaspoon salt

How to cook / how to make tempe mendoan Banyumas :

1. Puree all ingredients
2. Cut green onion 1/2 cm
3. Mix the rice flour + flour with spices and onions
4. Melt the coconut milk or water + MSG, dough should be slightly lumpy
5. Enter the tempeh slices into the batter one by one
6. Fry in hot oil. 1 time in 2 pieces of fried tempeh only
7. Once cooked remove and drain
8. Serve hot with flat plate heat in chili / pepper

Banyumasan

Banyumasan or mBanyumasan is a designation of the unity of culture, language and characters that live and thrive in the public interest in the region Banyumasan Java. Banyumasan region is a region located in the western province of Central Java, Indonesia or the area around Mount Slamet and Serayu River. Ex Banyumas residency in the reign of the Dutch East Indies, a region generally considered to include the distribution of Banyumasan culture. Banyumasan language is one of the characteristics of a community identity Banyumasan.

Banyumasan region generally consists of two parts, the region comprising North Banyumasan Brebes, Tegal and Immigration Office, as well as the region that includes South Banyumasan Cilacap, Kebumen, Banjarnegara, Purbalingga and Banyumas.
